Been ordering their large 1000 count 12 oz lightweight dixie paper bowls for past few years to feed feral cats with (when Calif. banned styrofoam) and even tho light weight (couldn't afford heavy weight at 2xs cost!) the edges were still properly finished and the bottom outside wasn't slick so i could tape these bowls down into ceramic dish for weight so no blow aways outside.

Recent order (after searching for hours because everyone is out of stock!??) was now a totally different 'cheaper made' product (even tho had same manuf./co. info/model number on box all identical to my prior order). Not only has the price on these light weight bowls DOUBLED and TRIPLED in cost! (depending on availability) but they cut the quality down to NON EXISTENT!

I have to use THREE bowls just to get the thickness of what 'used' to be one bowl, just so they don't fall apart when carried, but even that doesn't stop the first bowl from turning into a floppy/soggy mess after putting a pate food in it for only a few min's. Also there is now a finish of some sort on the outside bottom of bowl so scotch tape won't stick to them anymore, therefore not letting me weight them down for outside feral use by taping them down inside a heavy pet bowl. These THINGS they are passing off as 'bowls' are a USELESS MESS of a product now, from what USED to be a decent substitute for styrofoam bowls, and to add insult to injury, to GOUGE people by doubling and tripling the cost is nothing more than a co.

who only cares about making sure their top CEOs get their yearly bonuses, at the cost of the consumer during this inflation. Shopping now for yet again an alternative, and would be happy to see Dixie/Georgia Pacific go into Bankruptcy for their unscrupulous and greedy selling tactics!!!

I worked at the Dixie plant in Darlington S.C, My questions is why have a policy if your not going to enforce it? I witnessed 2 drunk employees in the plant several times.

They had to call rescue squad to one of them who passed out on the floor. They say no cell phones on the floor I look around the majority of employees on the phone. Certain supervisors see them but say nothing. They have one female bottom of line 6 that hollers at the guy next to her and she steadily talks to her operator and he fusses at the guy next to her.

I do not like telling this.

but its an ongoing thing and nothing seems to stop it. I just wanted to let you know what is going on inside your plant.
